Meet Lexi
I am Alexis Kennedy, a native of Birmingham, AL. I am a mother, a leader, a writer, a psalmist but most importantly, “I am a servant of God, the daughter of a King.” Matthew 5:16 says “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven.” My prayer is that the life that I live brings God glory and inspires the world, one sentence at a time, one song at a time, one prayer at a time, all while taking it one day at a time.
I have been writing since as far as she can remember. First as an outlet via journaling and even winning competitions as a child. Later this gift would turn into song composition and eventually my favorite tool to inspire others through blog.
Someone once said, “God never loses a battle, but he also never wastes a battle.” This has become my personal mantra. I am recognizing that my life’s experiences were not just for me to overcome. They were for me to turn around and help others do the same. Perhaps this is why I am so passionate about divorce care, identity, singles, healing, and youth. These are all areas where I have seen God’s hand on my own life and I am privileged to partner with heaven and serve in these areas in the lives of others, to see God’s hand move on the behalf of someone else.
I’m Simply Lexi. You may find me leading a prayer call, serving in song or children’s church at my local house of worship, or having fun making a quick tune on Voisey, but wherever you find me, you’ll find my catalytic energy as I walk in my God-ordained purpose.
